As a thank you to all L.E.O.'s everywhere, we have a discounted LEO rate for all boarding and daycare services.
Why?
A wonderful friend and dog training mentor, Bob Eden, retired Delta PD and "Police Dog Trainer Extraordinaire" heard through a colleague that I was interested in learning more about training working dogs such as Police K9's and he graciously invited me to attend his International Police K9 Conference in Modesto, CA in September 2006 as a civilian - a rare and wonderful opportunity! This was the first conference of many as I took on a more adminsitrative and supportive role at the conferences as well as being allowed to participate in training exercises and problem solving seminars.
Through this experience I was brought into the close knit and family oriented world of Law Enforcement. Each officer at the conferences, whether they were instructors or participants, accepted me as one of their own and allowed me to be a part of their world, if only for a few weeks at a time. I learned from my new "family" how truly difficult their job can be, what they go through on a daily basis to keep us civilians safe, with only the thought of helping others be safe and secure and that their job is not just a job, but a way of life . Their dedication and kindness changed my views of the world and I found a sincere gratitude and respect for Law Enforcement Officers all over the world for their contribution to society.
My Police K9 friends taught me how to find a wonderful balance in my dog training, to teach the dogs to think for themselves to achieve excellent results and to truly be their partner in training and in life.
One day in the future, when the opportunity arises, I would like to breed and train working dogs and be able to contribute to Law Enforcements Agencies in North America with superior quality working K9's.
